The mission of the “Jurisprudence” educational program is to contribute to the development of the legal society by forming highly qualified lawyers of a new formation with deep professional knowledge in the field of business support and high ethical standards.

Program Description: The Law Program at AlmaU is a practice-oriented degree aimed at training competitive and certified professionals. The program focuses on legal support for business activities, consulting, rulemaking and advocacy. Students master the fundamental principles of law, learn to analyze the constantly changing legal framework, operate with legal categories and solve complex professional cases. Special attention is paid to the skills of drafting legal documents, reviewing contracts and protecting the rights of business entities in judicial and non-judicial bodies.

The purpose of the educational program: Practice-oriented training of competitive, certified lawyers with professional knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, who are able to effectively solve problems in the field of legal support for business.

Main sub-goals of the program:

• provide fundamental knowledge in the field of theory of state and law, constitutional, civil and criminal legislation;
• develop skills of critical legal thinking, analysis of legal facts and interpretation of legal norms;
• develop the ability to develop and review a wide range of legal documents and contracts;
• prepare graduates for effective protection of the rights of citizens, businesses and the state in national and international legal institutions.

Learning outcomes After completing the program, the graduate must:

• know the basic laws of the emergence of the state and law, the system of legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the basics of business and corporate law;
• be able to legally correctly qualify facts and circumstances, apply legal norms to specific cases, and analyze legal information;
• have the skills to prepare lawsuits, complaints, contracts, conduct legal consultations and participate in court proceedings;
• understand the role of law in ensuring social responsibility and an anti-corruption culture, as well as the ethical standards of the legal profession;

be prepared for professional work as a corporate lawyer, lawyer, law enforcement officer or a specialist in public administration

• Duration: 3 years (full-time education).
• Language of instruction: Kazakh / Russian.

The mission of the International Law educational program is to contribute to the development of the international legal order and the global business environment by developing competitive and ethical international lawyers with deep knowledge of national and international law to protect the interests of the state and business on the world stage.

Program Description: The International Law program at AlmaU is a practice-oriented degree aimed at training certified professionals capable of working in a globalized environment. The program focuses on legal support of foreign economic activity, protection of rights in international courts and activities in international organizations. Students master the fundamental principles of the national legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and study in-depth international public, private and humanitarian law. Special attention is paid to the skills of drafting international agreements, analyzing cross-border transactions, and using digital tools, including artificial intelligence, in legal practice.

The purpose of the educational program: Practice-oriented training of competitive, certified international lawyers with knowledge in the field of international and national law, which allows them to effectively solve the problems of drafting and analyzing international treaties and providing legal support to businesses in international courts and organizations.

Main sub-goals of the program:

• provide fundamental knowledge in the field of theory of state and law, as well as key branches of national law of the Republic of Kazakhstan (civil, criminal, administrative);
• develop skills in interpreting and applying the norms of international public, private, treaty and humanitarian law;
• develop competencies in the use of international justice, arbitration and mediation mechanisms for resolving cross-border disputes;
• prepare graduates for legal support of foreign economic activity and risk analysis in the field of international trade, financial and tax law.

Learning outcomes After completing the program, the graduate must:

• know the system of legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sources and principles of international law, WTO rules and norms of digital law;
• be able to qualify legal facts, conduct expert reviews of international contracts, and develop strategies to protect the rights of citizens and businesses in international institutions;
• have the skills to prepare procedural documents for national and international courts, conduct negotiations and use LegalTech tools;
• understand the ethical standards of the legal profession, the principles of social responsibility and anti-corruption culture;
• be prepared for professional work in the diplomatic service, international organizations, law firms and departments of companies engaged in foreign economic activity.
