Psychology is the science that studies the inner world of a person, their behavior, thinking, and emotional processes. It helps understand the reasons behind human actions, develop personal potential, and build effective interactions with others.

Upon completing the Psychology educational program, you will become a specialist capable of providing professional psychological assistance, conducting psychological assessment, counseling, and personal support using modern scientific approaches and practical tools.

Mission of the Educational Program

To contribute to societal development by preparing competent psychology professionals capable of supporting the psychological well-being of individuals and society in the face of modern challenges.

Purpose of the EP 

To prepare highly qualified psychologists with a strong fundamental theoretical foundation and applied professional training, who possess practical skills and well-developed professional competencies that ensure effective work in healthcare, social services, business, and other professional fields, and who are competitive in the labor market.

Track 1: Cognitive-behavioral direction in psychology

·         Fundamentals of cognitive behavioral therapy
·         Psychopathological processes in childhood and adolescence
·         Psychology of deviant behavior
·         Cognitive behavioral therapy in working with the family
·         Workshop in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Track 2: Gestalt direction in psychology

·         Psychology of emotions and feelings
·         Gestalt therapy in working with the family
·         Counseling in Gestalt therapy
·         Workshop in Gestalt Therapy
·         Gestalt therapy in working with addiction
Field of Professional Activity: 

Healthcare, social services, business, and other professional fields requiring the application of psychological knowledge and competencies.

Settings of Professional Activity: 

Medical, social, and rehabilitation institutions; research centers; sports, law enforcement, and defense organizations; psychological assistance and counseling services; commercial and industrial organizations, including HR structures; and the digital and information environment in the field of psychology.

Focus of Professional Activity: 

Psychological support of individuals and groups across all spheres of human activity.

Types of Professional Activity: 

Expert, research, psychodiagnostic, advisory, training, psychoprophylactic and educational, and career guidance activities.

Professional Functions: 

– Ability to differentiate the main categories of psychology and apply this knowledge to real situations;

– Ability to select and use valid and reliable psychodiagnostic tools;

– Ability to develop a strategy for correctional and developmental work based on diagnostic findings;

– Ability to conduct personal growth training sessions drawing on cognitive-behavioral and Gestalt therapy approaches;

– Ability to integrate psychological tools and techniques in the counseling process;

– Ability to apply knowledge in developing strategies for the prevention and preservation of mental health;

– Ability to communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
