On February 26, AlmaU’s Graduate School of Business officially signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with CMC Central Asia, a representative of the global ICMCI network. This step marks a new phase in business education at AlmaU and strengthens the synergy between academia and industry.
The signing of the document is the result of two years of systematic collaboration between AlmaU’s Institute of Entrepreneurship and CMC Central Asia. During this time, modern methodological tools and professional consulting approaches were successfully integrated into the curricula. Leading international experts were actively involved in the implementation of practice-oriented modules, significantly enhancing the applied value of the education.
The new stage of partnership involves deep integration of international management consulting standards into MBA and DBA programs. Within this collaboration, a specialized consulting course will be launched, enabling students to master global-level tools and incorporate elements of international certification directly into their studies.

During the signing ceremony, AlmaU’s First Vice-Rector Timur Kerimbekovich and the Dean of GSB AlmaU noted that the partnership with CMC Central Asia opens new opportunities for practice-oriented learning, expands international expertise, and enhances the professional prospects of students and alumni.
Integrating ICMCI standards into AlmaU’s curriculum demonstrates institutional development and strengthens graduates’ competitiveness. The opportunity to obtain international certification during studies significantly enhances their professional profile in the labor market.

Among the attendees was Sabit Narbaev, Chairman of the Board at CMC Central Asia and a GSB AlmaU alumnus, who emphasized that the knowledge gained at AlmaU became the foundation of his international professional career:
“I graduated from AlmaU in 2017. Thanks to the fundamental knowledge gained through the MBA program, I now develop international business consulting and manage projects to bring Kazakhstani products to global markets. I am especially proud to be not only an AlmaU alumnus but also a CMC certified consultant – putting into practice what I learned.”

The collaboration between AlmaU’s Graduate School of Business and CMC Central Asia directly enhances the quality of educational programs, ensuring their compliance with the highest international standards. AlmaU continues to set trends in business education, offering students not only academic knowledge but also practical tools for international recognition and career growth.
