On October 14, 2024, AlmaU welcomed Agnès Bousset, a representative of the French Consulate in Almaty, who oversees the activities of the Franco-Kazakh University Center Lumière.
The Lumière Center is a unique network of educational programs developed in collaboration between Kazakh and French institutions. The main goal of this initiative is to create a regional hub for higher education and innovation in Kazakhstan, significantly strengthening high-level international cooperation in the region.
During her visit, Ms. Bousset was introduced to AlmaU’s academic programs, with a particular focus on potential collaborations with French universities. One of the key topics discussed was the development of joint programs, including dual degree opportunities, enabling AlmaU students to receive world-class international education and practical experience.
Ms. Bousset also provided valuable recommendations on expanding partnership networks. Among the potential partners, the following prominent French universities were highlighted:
- The National Institute of Tourism at the University of Angers, renowned for its dual degree programs and successful collaborations worldwide (China, Europe, Latin America, Africa).
- IAE University, recognized for its strong programs in management.
This meeting opens new horizons for AlmaU in enhancing its international partnerships and further strengthens the university’s reputation as a platform for preparing future leaders with a global mindset.
We are confident that collaboration with French partners will be a significant milestone in advancing international education in Kazakhstan, offering our students unique opportunities for learning and professional development.
