AlmaU is one of the leaders in five educational areas according to the ranking of Atameken NCE

The Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs published a ranking of educational programs for 2025, according to which the Almaty Management University became one of the leaders in a number of educational areas.

The ranking is aimed to provide the key stakeholders such as applicants, parents, employers, and educational institutions with useful and objective information.

The independent assessment covered 2,051 Bachelor’s degree educational programs across 95 higher educational institutions and was evaluated on the basis of four sets of criteria: career opportunities for graduates (49%), quality of educational programs (24%), students’ achievements (16%), and general indicators of higher and post-graduate educational institutions (11%). Over 100 experts from various sectors and all country regions were involved to carry out the assessment.

Based on the ranking, Almaty Management University was ranked 10th on employment rate among private higher and post-graduate educational institutions. On average, 83% of the University’s graduates secure professional jobs. This reflects market demand for specialists, the education of which is based on the AlmaU’s educational programs.

According to the Atameken NCE, the AlmaU educates the best specialists in the country in the Restaurant Business and Hotel Business discipline. An independent assessment ranked this educational program first in educating hospitality industry specialists who are capable of managing international level enterprises, analyzing market trends, and creating own businesses. Educating  highly qualified specialists in the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the AlmaU follows a practice-oriented approach. As a result, students gain experience based on the best standards and practice of restaurant business leaders of Kazakhstan and international hotel chains. In addition to classroom sessions, students develop their professional competencies through dual education and project activities. The AlmaU students participate annually in the republican Olympiads, international conferences, and forums, with graduates finding an employment within two and a half months.

According to the ranking of Atameken NCE, AlmaU is in TOP-5 of higher educational institutions in the following areas:

  • Public Relations. With this program, the AlmaU School of Media and Cinema improved its result by 4 points and took 2nd place among the faculties of other universities educating students in this area. Its development was carried out jointly with PR experts from the National Association for Public Relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Duration of job search by the university graduates on this program is less than three months after obtaining a diploma. They have work experience in the PR departments of such companies as Astana, 1Fit, AIESEC, Parmigiano Group, MOST Media, 7 TV Channel, Grey Cardinals agency, PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies, DASM, 4D Click, PR Guide, Jooz Agency, Decode, and other.

  • Jurisprudence. In this area, the AlmaU School of Politics and Law ranks 4th, having improved its position by 3 points. The program trains competitive specialists capable of protecting the rights of business entities, citizens and the state, as well as of engaging in law enforcement, rule-making, consulting and research activities. Graduates of this program are employed within two months after obtaining a diploma and successfully work as legal advisors, attorneys, corporate lawyers, prosecutors’, courts’ and national security officers.

  • Urban Studies and City Management. With this program, the AlmaU School of Management and Urban Studies Center took 4th place, participating for the first time in the Atameken NCE ranking. Students in this program are educated in innovative approaches to urban planning and management utilizing various technological tools and software. This makes graduates of the program sought after in the labor market, allowing them to secure employment no later than 4 months after graduation.

  • Logistics. The AlmaU School of Management is ranked 5th in this area, having risen by 1 point in the rating. Graduates of the program secure employment within two months after graduation and carry out their professional activities in enterprises of all forms of ownership and spheres of activity, as well as in government agencies and research organizations.

AlmaU’s achievements are the result of coordinated efforts of the teaching staff, strong partnerships with business and international organizations, and implementation of modern educational methods.
