From May 14 to 16, 2025, fourth-year students of the “Tourism and Event Management” educational program at AlmaU’s School of Hospitality and Tourism – Symbat Akhmetkhanova, Aidana Omirtai, and Aigerim Kadyrzhan presented their research at the 21st Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism. The forum was hosted by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (SHTM).
The team’s presentation, supervised by School lecturer Adina Yessengaliyeva, focused on the topic:
“Digitalization of Tourism in Almaty: Analyzing the Influence of Digital Marketing on Tourist Preferences, Behavior, and Sustainable Choices.”
The Asia Pacific Forum is a prestigious platform for showcasing academic research in tourism and hospitality, bringing together students, graduate researchers, and young scholars from around the world. The program included plenary sessions, thematic panels, research presentations, and discussions with leading academics and industry professionals.
Participation in the forum was a valuable experience for AlmaU students, enhancing their international academic communication skills and demonstrating their high level of preparation and engagement with current research trends in tourism.
