AlmaU actively promotes sustainable economic growth, full employment and decent work for all, which is consistent with Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and economic growth). The University implements programs and trainings that help students develop professional skills and prepare for the labor market. AlmaU organizes career fairs, invites employers and conducts master classes, which helps strengthen ties between students and the business community.
AlmaU also actively develops entrepreneurship initiatives, supporting startups and innovative projects of students, which in turn contributes to the creation of new jobs and sustainable economic growth in the region. Thus, the university makes a significant contribution to the implementation of SDG 8.

Employment contracts concluded between the Educational Institution “Almaty Management University” (employer) and an employee are regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the Labor Code.
AlmaU employment contracts (both employment and civil law contracts) comply with the norms of national legislation. AlmaU demonstrates its commitment to combating forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking and child labor.

AlmaU has about 500 protected jobs. Precautions and safe working conditions are provided on campus. AlmaU adheres to a number of principles that ensure safety, non-discrimination, equal pay and non-forced labor. Students have the opportunity to find a job on campus, and the Career Center supports them in employment and internships, and AlmaU is also recognized as a leader in the level of demand for graduates among employers. Employees have the opportunity to earn more than their official salary by teaching and participating in research and other projects. 10-15% of AlmaU employees are university graduates.
