On September 29, the AlmaU School of Politics and Law hosted a guest lecture by journalist and researcher Paolo Sorbello on the discipline “Sustainable Economy” on the topic “ESG, the environment and its discontent”. He has been living in Almaty since 2013. Paolo Scorbelo received his PhD from the University of Glasgow, where he worked on labor relations in the oil sector of Kazakhstan. He completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari University. Having worked as a freelance journalist in Kazakhstan for more than ten years, he now works as an English-language editor in Vlast.kz .
