InspireEd at AlmaU: an open conversation on educational inequality and ways to address it

27.02.2026

AlmaU hosted the latest session of the professional InspireEd series, focused on one of the most pressing issues in modern education – educational inequality.

The event was held as an interactive seminar, going beyond a traditional lecture and ensuring high engagement from participants.

The speaker was Gulnara Salmen, Founder & CEO of Teach for Qazaqstan. During the session, educational inequality was explored in a comprehensive and multifaceted way as a systemic challenge affecting human capital and society. Participants paid special attention to the personal and professional responsibility of each member of the educational process.

During the seminar, participants:

  • analyzed real-life cases,

  • discussed the causes and consequences of unequal access to quality education,

  • and completed reflective exercises.

The practical format allowed participants to view the issue through the lens of their own experience. Everyone could connect the topic of educational inequality to their work, decision-making, and personal values.

An open dialogue created a special atmosphere. Participants actively discussed, asked questions, and shared their opinions. This format helped to better understand the issue and brought together professionals ready to find practical solutions.

The InspireEd series at AlmaU continues to serve as a space for meaningful and strategic dialogue about the future of education, bringing together experts, practitioners, and change leaders to discuss current challenges in the field and ways to transform it.
