Meeting of the President of AlmaU with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia

As part of a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia, the President and Founder of AlmaU, Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, Bulat Sugurbayev.

The meeting was also attended by Amir Aldazhanov, First Secretary of the Embassy, and Akbope Aussadyk, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office of AlmaU.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of international cooperation in higher education and research, as well as prospects for expanding partnerships between universities in Kazakhstan and Malaysia. Particular attention was paid to academic mobility, joint educational programs, and practice-oriented initiatives in the field of management education.

The President of AlmaU presented the key areas of the university’s development, highlighting its role as one of the leading centers for training management professionals and delivering MBA programs. AlmaU expressed strong interest in strengthening international academic partnerships and expanding cooperation with leading educational institutions in Malaysia.

Assylbek Kozhakhmetov also emphasized AlmaU’s active engagement in international educational initiatives and the global academic agenda. In particular, it was noted that he will participate as a speaker at the IAUP Asia Pacific Regional Conference, to be held on January 12-14, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur.

In addition, it was announced that the next IAUP regional conference will be hosted by AlmaU. The conference, scheduled to take place in Almaty on June 11-13, 2026, will be a major international event for AlmaU and will further reinforce the university’s role as a platform for global academic dialogue.
