The AlmaU Student Support Center offers a wide range of academic, financial and visa support services for students.

We strive to create a supportive environment that ensures the success of each student. Our specialists provide advice and information support.

  • Is it possible to transfer from one language department to another if a student is studying on a state educational grant?

    At the time of admission to the university, a student can choose any language department as a student, and subsequently transfer from one language department to another with the preservation of the grant once for the entire period of study with the approval of the dean of the school.

  • What should I do if a student missed classes due to illness?

    If a student falls ill during the academic period, he must write an application (Instruction) through Platonus to obtain permission for an individual delivery schedule (working out) or go to room 111 from 9/00 to 17/00 and write an application.

    At the same time, the student must attach a medical certificate to the application, which reflects the diagnosis, the period of the disease, how and with what they were treated. After that, the student is given an individual delivery schedule.

    The certificates must be of Form 037 with a Qr code and are valid for 5 calendar days.

  • What should I do if a student wants to drop out?

    If a student wants to be expelled during the academic period, he must write an application for expulsion through Platonus indicating the reason for the expulsion or go to room 111

    Based on this application, an order for expulsion is issued and then the student will be considered officially expelled. From the moment the order is issued, the accrual of tuition fees is suspended

  • Does the student want to get ONAY?

    ДTo receive a single Onay travel card, the student must send it to the following email address onay@almau.edu.kz the following information:

    • FCs
    • Course, specialty, language department
    • Scanned copy of the ID card (on both sides in Jpeg format)
    • Scanned copy of the certificate from the place of study (Jpeg format)
    • Photo 3*4 (Jpeg format)

    After sending an application for an Onay card, you will be provided with instructions for paying for the card. The cost of issuing the card is 500 tenge. The cost of a single trip on the student transport card “Onay” is 50 tenge.

    You can get a certificate by clicking on the link https://platonus.almau.edu.kz

The main page opens and select the “Applications” category. Click on your Personal Account and go into it and select the “Applications” tab.     You can attach it in 2 ways:
    1. ON-line-through the E-Government portal egov.kz .
    To do this, you must have an electronic digital signature (EDS) and be registered on the site egov.kz .

  • Can a student transfer from one educational program to another educational program, from one language department to another?

    A student can transfer to another EP subject to the absence of academic debts in the first semester of the first year and with a difference of no more than 5 disciplines. To transfer to another EP, the student must write an application in room 111 or in his personal account in the AIS Platonus database for transfer within the university from one EP to another, with the provision of an academic transcript to calculate the difference. If there is a difference of no more than 5 disciplines, a transfer order is issued, after signing the order in the student’s personal account, the EP, the language of instruction is changed. Next, the order is sent to the advising center, where the student must register for the discipline again according to his EP. The difference that will be revealed is rented on a fee basis.

    Students who stay for a repeat course need to go to the 111 office of the Student Support Center and get a table of offsets, as well as in the 111 office they need to sign an additional agreement to the main agreement.   • What should I do to transfer to the next course?

    The transfer from the course to the course of students is carried out automatically based on the transfer GPA score. The transfer score is approved by the Academic Council of the University.

    Log in to the Platonus system https://platonus.almau.edu.kz/login and to log in (enter your username and password*)
    In your personal account, the student can receive a certificate at the place of request, at the military enlistment office, at SPPC with a confirming QR code in PDF format. This certificate is valid for 10 working days. The student must log in to his personal account almaunion.almau.edu.kz
    1) On the main page on the right, select the “Site Map” module
    2) Then log in to your personal account
    3) Select the category “Issuance of certificates”
    4) Type of service “SPPC”, “certificate for the military enlistment office”, “at the place of demand”
    Notes * If you do not have/ if you forgot it / lost it / there was no Login and password at all, then you can contact the Advising Center and get them individually.
    4) Click submit an application
    5) Fill in all required fields in the “Applicant information” tab. The email and phone number must be up to date
    6) Click the “Application information” tab and select the language of the document to be issued.
    7) Click on the “Apply” button
    8) The “Issued document” tab appears. Click on it and download your help
