Visit of the Lahore Garrison University delegation to AlmaU

On March 30, AlmaU hosted an official visit of the delegation from Lahore Garrison University (Pakistan) as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The delegation included:
Dr. Rizwana Bashir – Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences;
Ms. Humera – Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

The visit program began with a campus tour organized by AlmaU’s International Office. The official meeting was then held with the university’s leadership, attended by Mrs. Renata Kudaibergenova – Vice-Rector for Research and Commercialization , Mrs. Sholpan Tazabek – Vice-Rector for Global Partnership , Assel Aryn – Vice-Rector for Academic Development , Aliya Akpayeva – Director of International Cooperation Department

The meeting was also joined by AlmaU school deans: Azamat Auezkhanuly (School of Management), Arman Komekbayev (School of Digital Technologies and Economics), and Aizhan Sapargaliyeva (School of Transformative Humanities and Education), as well as Gulzira Yestekova, Academic Dean of the Graduate School of Business.

During the discussions, the parties explored priority areas of cooperation, including the development of academic mobility for students and faculty, implementation of joint research projects, and organization of international seminars and conferences.

Representatives of Lahore Garrison University presented the institution’s academic and research potential, highlighting programs in digital business and economics with data analytics, as well as developments in psychology and media. Particular attention was given to the undergraduate programs Digital Business and BS Economics with Data Analytics, which integrate artificial intelligence and modern digital technologies into the learning process.

The parties also discussed opportunities for joint research in areas such as sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

As part of the visit, Dr. Rizwana Bashir delivered open lectures for AlmaU students. The first lecture, titled “Entrepreneurship as a Future Skill,” focused on the role of entrepreneurship in shaping future competencies. The second lecture, tailored for students of the School of Management, addressed entrepreneurship in the tourism industry.

The visit of the Lahore Garrison University delegation marked an important step in strengthening international cooperation between the two universities and opened new opportunities for academic exchange, joint research, and the development of educational initiatives.
