From June 16 to July 11, the intensive Yessenov Data Lab Summer School for data analysts will take place at AlmaU. The school has been organized for the sixth time by the Yessenov Foundation (founded by Galimzhan Yessenov) and AlmaU.
20 winners of the competition previously held by the Foundation will study machine learning, Python programming, working with chatbots, language models, computer vision, deep learning, and neural networks in a hybrid format, which includes 2 weeks of online and 2 weeks of offline training. The key distinction of the program of the sixth Summer School for analysts is the integration of AI into the syllabus.
The lecturers of YDL 2025 include Dr. Kuanysh Abeshev, a mathematician and the Dean of the School of Digital Technologies at AlmaU; Timur Bakibayev, the Director of the Institute of Digital Transformation; Vladislav Yushchenko, Senior Engineer at Meta’s London office; and Nikita Saxena, Research Engineer at Google DeepMind.
Over the course of a month of studying, the School’s participants will acquire practical skills in Big Data analysis, interact with lecturers who are experts in both theory and practice, ask all the questions they may have, meet like-minded individuals from all over Kazakhstan, and network.
