On January 21, 2026, AlmaU hosted an official visit by a delegation of the leadership of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, headed by Chairman of the Board and Rector Marat Shoranov.
The visit began with an introductory tour of the AlmaU campus, during which the guests visited the neuromarketing laboratory, the AI Lab – Center for Artificial Intelligence, renovated classrooms, the library, the atrium, and other university facilities.

Representing AlmaU at the meeting were the University’s Founder and President Asylbek Kozhakhmetov, members of the rectorate, school deans, and heads of structural divisions. The delegation from S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU included vice-rectors, heads of institutes and departments, as well as the Dean of the School of Public Health.
As part of the visit, AlmaU First Vice-Rector Timur Buldybayev delivered a presentation outlining the University’s mission, priorities for academic development, and key directions of international partnership.

Special attention was given to the activities of the Sharmanov School of Health Sciences. Its Director, Aida Salimzhankyzy, presented the School’s initiatives, highlighting key projects in the fields of healthcare, public health, and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the visit, the participants emphasized the strong potential for further cooperation, including the development of joint educational programs, collaborative research initiatives, and projects in the areas of digitalization and medical education.
