At the Qainar Bulaq open city co-working space at Almaty Management University, the project for older adults was launched within the framework of the “Silver University” initiative, aimed at promoting active longevity, personal development, and social engagement.
The project brought together more than 120 participants. People of “silver” age (50 years and older) can gain new knowledge, master modern skills, and find like-minded peers.

The first session for the group was a health practice called Aikune: this set of exercises is designed to strengthen the deep muscles of the back, restore posture, and improve overall health through static exercises, breathing, and conscious stretching. In the future, the program will be complemented by dance and art masterclasses, psychological support sessions, and other activities.
This project at AlmaU is a community of active, inspired, and open-minded people who demonstrate that learning and creativity are possible and necessary at any age.
