A delegation from AlmaU had an official visit to the office of the United Nations Global Compact. The meeting was held in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, reaffirming the University’s strong international engagement in the fields of sustainable development and responsible management education.
As a recognized PRME Champion and an active member of PRME Chapter Eurasia, AlmaU continues to demonstrate leadership in advancing the principles of responsible management. The University systematically integrates the values of sustainability into its academic curricula, research agenda, and institutional governance processes. Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening institutional collaboration and expanding regional cooperation across Eurasia.

It is worth noting that AlmaU has been admitted to the PRME Champions Cohort 2026-2027 – a distinguished global community of universities and business schools acknowledged for their leadership in responsible management education. AlmaU is the only university from Central Asia included in this prestigious cohort.
The PRME Champion status is awarded by the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative operating under the auspices of the United Nations. This recognition is granted to institutions that demonstrate consistent and systemic progress in embedding the principles of ethics, sustainability, and social responsibility into their educational activities, research practices, and strategic development.
AlmaU’s inclusion in the PRME Champions Cohort represents significant international recognition and affirms the University’s strategic alignment with the global sustainable development agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
