During a visit to Azerbaijan, a working meeting was held between the delegation of Almaty Management University (AlmaU) and Azərbaycan University. From AlmaU, the meeting was attended by the university president Assylbek Kozhakhmetov and the Dean of the Graduate School of Business Ksenia Yuzhaninova-Karadenizli, while from Azərbaycan University, the participants included the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Yusif Gasimov, the Rector’s Advisor and Director of the Center for International Master’s and Doctoral Programs Nushabe Guliyeva, as well as the Head of the International Relations Department Elmira Ismailova.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the fulfillment of obligations arising from the Memorandum signed in 2018, as well as the opportunities for expanding cooperation. Special attention was given to new directions of collaboration, the implementation of joint research projects, the intensification of student and faculty exchanges, cooperation within the MBA program, and the sharing of practical experience. Furthermore, discussions focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between universities in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, adapting higher education to global challenges, and the international accreditation of educational programs.
Azərbaycan University is the first private university in Azerbaijan, founded in 1991. Over more than thirty years of its existence, the university has established itself as a leading educational and scientific platform in the country, implementing modern undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, actively developing international cooperation, promoting scientific research, and ensuring a high level of training for specialists across various fields of knowledge.
