President and Founder of Almaty Management University (AlmaU) Assylbek Kozhakhmetov participated in the Annual Meeting and Business Forum of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), held in Almaty on June 25–26 to mark the Bank’s 20th anniversary.
The forum brought together representatives of government institutions, international financial organizations, businesses, and the expert community to discuss the future development of the Eurasian region. Key topics included investment cooperation, digital transformation, logistics development, Islamic finance, and human capital as a foundation for sustainable economic growth.
One of the key outcomes of the forum was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the EDB Academy and Almaty Management University. The agreement is aimed at fostering long-term partnership in education, talent development, and human capital advancement. The signing ceremony was attended by Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, President and Founder of AlmaU, and Maria Pavlova, Head of the EDB Academy.
The agreement seeks to strengthen collaboration in education, promote advanced knowledge and competencies, and support the preparation of highly qualified professionals for Kazakhstan and the EDB member states.
As part of the partnership, the parties plan to implement joint educational initiatives, organize lectures, conferences, roundtable discussions, training programs, and expert events, expand internship and professional development opportunities, and increase access to modern educational resources and international best practices.
The forum’s agenda placed special emphasis on human capital development, the future of education, and workforce preparation in an era of rapid technological change. These priorities closely align with AlmaU’s strategic mission as one of the region’s leading entrepreneurial universities.
AlmaU’s participation in the EDB Business Forum and the signing of the cooperation agreement create new opportunities for collaboration with the international financial and expert community, while further strengthening the role of education in supporting the sustainable development of the region.
