
The Center for Creative Industries of the AlmaU Graduate School of Business invites you to a guest lecture by historian, Korean studies scholar and professor German Kim.
Lecture topic: “The Phenomenon of Ethnic Entrepreneurship: How Culture Is Transforming Traditional Business.”
Ethnic entrepreneurship lies at the intersection of culture, history and modern management. During the lecture, participants will explore how cultural codes, national identity, traditions and social networks influence business development, capitalization and the emergence of new global trends.
German Kim is a distinguished figure in Kazakhstan, one of the leading scholars of Korean studies and an international expert on diasporas and cultural heritage. He is the author of more than 30 books and 250 academic publications and has taught at leading universities in the United States, South Korea and Japan. His research focuses on how cultural codes, ethnic networks and traditions shape the development of societies, markets and international relations.
Special attention will be given to how cultural heritage and national context can serve as a foundation for creating in-demand commercial products and successful business models at both local and international levels.
