On September 24, AlmaU held a welcome meeting for first-year doctoral students, dedicated to the beginning of their studies and key aspects of research activities at the University.

Six doctoral students attended the meeting in person, while seven more participants joined online.

The speakers included Renata Yerkіnovna Kudaibergenova, Vice-Rector for Science and Commercialization, and Aknur Zhidebekkyzy. Darhan Yeseyuly, Azamat Auezhanuly and Raushan Baizhanovna also addressed the doctoral students.

During the meeting, doctoral students learned about the key stages of their studies, the organization of research activities, publication requirements, interaction with academic supervisors, as well as opportunities to participate in AlmaU’s research projects and events.

Particular attention was given to research activities and academic support for doctoral students, as well as opportunities for their further professional and research development.

An open dialogue was an important part of the meeting. Doctoral students had the opportunity to ask questions, meet representatives of AlmaU’s research community and discuss organizational matters related to the beginning of their doctoral studies.

The meeting marked an important step in the adaptation of new doctoral students and their introduction to AlmaU’s research environment and opportunities.
