On October 2, Astana will host the 8th meeting of the Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+, founded by the President of AlmaU.
The theme of the meeting is “Universities After AI: New Leadership, the Human Dimension and the Future of Universities in Central Asia+.”
The Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+ brings together university leaders and experts to discuss key changes in higher education and jointly explore solutions for the development of universities across the region.
The meeting will bring together Sapar Toksanov, Rector of QAIRU; Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Asylbek Kozhakhmetov, President of AlmaU and Founder of the Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+.
The keynote address will be delivered by Alexander Sidorkin, Professor of Education and co-author of Universities After AI. He will discuss the impact of AI on teaching, research and the development of universities.
The programme will also include a panel discussion, “The Human Being and the University in the Age of AI,” featuring representatives of leading universities and international educational organizations, as well as an interactive workshop, “A Framework for University Transformation,” with Pavel Luksha, CEO of Global Education Futures, and Anara Sandygulova, Associate Professor at Nazarbayev University.
The meeting will focus on the transformation of universities under the influence of AI and the preservation of human values in the new environment.
