On October 8, Antiplagiat will hold a specialized webinar for AlmaU faculty members, researchers and staff involved in checking academic and research texts.
The webinar is organized by the AlmaU Office of Science and Commercialization and aims to develop staff competencies in academic integrity and improve the quality of expert work with text similarity check results.
The webinar topic is “Expert Work with the Full Report in the Antiplagiat System: Methodology for Checking Different Types of Academic and Research Papers.”
The speaker will be Svetlana Magda, Coordinator of the Educational and Methodological Center at Antiplagiat.
During the webinar, participants will explore the capabilities of the full report in the Antiplagiat system, examine the specifics of expert review of different types of academic and research papers, and learn approaches to interpreting verification results. Special attention will be given to working with sources of detected similarities and practical issues that specialists encounter during expert assessment.
The webinar program has been developed with the practical needs of AlmaU in mind, including the types of papers checked at the university, the categories of staff working with the system, as well as questions and challenges that arise during the review process.
The webinar will cover:
- the structure and capabilities of the full report in the Antiplagiat system;
- methodology for checking different types of academic and research papers;
- approaches to interpreting verification results and analyzing sources of similarities;
- practical recommendations for specialists conducting checks;
- answers to participants’ questions.
