From June 12 to 25, 18 undergraduate and graduate students from various AlmaU programs took part in a summer school at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) in Hangzhou, China.
Over the course of two eventful weeks, participants completed an engaging academic program that included:
▪️ Lectures on China’s economic development and cross-border e-commerce
▪️ Chinese language classes covering phonetics, grammar, and HSK exam preparation
▪️ Seminars on entrepreneurship, culture, and intercultural communication
As part of the cultural program, students:
▪️ Visited the Silk Museum and the scenic West Lake
▪️ Explored traditional Chinese costumes, paper cutting, and theatrical makeup
▪️ Traveled to the leather town of Haining and the Qiantang River
The agenda also included a visit to the Hangzhou Sci-Tech City exhibition, China AI Town, and Tianmushan Laboratory, along with an unforgettable trip to Shanghai — featuring the Oriental Pearl Tower and Nanjing Road.
For many students, this was their first deep immersion into Chinese culture, business, and education. The ZUFE Summer School provided not only knowledge but also inspiration, new friendships, and broader horizons!
