The international higher education analytics agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds has published the results of its annual ranking of the best universities in Asia – QS Asia University Rankings 2026.
For the first time, AlmaU took part in this ranking and immediately demonstrated impressive results, ranking second among ten debutant universities.
The ranking evaluates universities according to several key indicators. AlmaU achieved its highest performance in two main criteria. The first one, Employer Reputation, reflects the recognition and employability of the university’s graduates in the job market. AlmaU also has strong results in the Outbound Exchange (international academic mobility). The university actively sends students to study abroad, thereby strengthening its image and enhancing the prestige of higher education in Kazakhstan.
According to the results of the independent QS Stars audit, the university was awarded an overall rating of 4 Stars. Experts especially highlighted the following areas, which received the highest distinction (5 Stars): Business and Management Studies, Good Governance, Entrepreneurship.
Overall, AlmaU ranked 44th among universities in Central Asia and was placed within the 741-750 range out of 1,500 universities globally. It represents a confident result for its first participation and demonstrates strong potential for further growth and international recognition.
