On July 9, 2024, representatives of Kyungdong University (KDU) visited Kazakhstan and held several meetings as part of cooperation with AlmaU. On the same day AlmaU President Kozhakhmetov Asylbek Bazarbayevich and Kyungdong University (KDU) President Prof. Dr. Lee John Kyu signed a partnership agreement.
The Parties mutually agree to work closely and coordinate in the following areas of academic collaboration:
- Global Student Mobility Project;
- Student Exchange Programs;
- Faculty and Staff Exchange;
- Joint Research Projects.
Asylbek Bazarbayevich, President of AlmaU, emphasized the importance of cooperation with South Korea and said:
“We are proud to cooperate with Kyungdong University and want to strengthen our partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. I believe that we will create many amazing projects together”.
The parties drew attention to the importance of academic mobility, mentioning that participation in the student exchange program allows gaining practical experience in learning a foreign language, getting practical and theoretical knowledge, as well as studying the culture of both countries.
President Lee John Kyu said that he is ready to open the doors of Kyungdong University to 50 students of our university, as well as to send his students to Kazakhstan with confidence: “40% of our students want to study abroad, and we are glad that we can provide a great opportunity to study at AlmaU, as it is: firstly, safety; secondly, finances; thirdly, new opportunities”.
On July 10, 2024, Balnur Amerkhanova, Director of Marketing Office of AlmaU Graduate School of Business, met with Aisena Ivanova, Director of KDU Multimedia Center. Balnur Kairzhanovna shared AlmaU’s experience in realization of MBA programs, and also told about competitive advantages of AlmaU Graduate School of Business in the Central Asian market.
On the same day Juraev Sirojiddin Salomovich, Director of International Education KDU, met with the students of our university about the academic mobility program within the cooperation: “Last year AlmaU students made a very good impression, I am sure that this year we will not disappoint you either. During your stay in Korea there will be various social and cultural events, korean language lessons and much more”, – said Juraev Sirojiddin Salomovich.
