The Department of Science and Commercialization at AlmaU invites faculty members, early-career researchers, doctoral students, and researchers to the fourth training session in the “From Idea to Project” series. The session will focus on developing research project budgets and working with the information system of the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise (IS NCGNTE).

Participants will learn how to prepare an expenditure estimate, justify a project budget in accordance with grant competition requirements, and correctly complete an application in the IS NCGNTE system. Particular attention will be given to common mistakes in preparing the financial section of grant applications and practical recommendations for avoiding them.

• Developing a research project budget and preparing an expenditure estimate;
• Main expenditure categories and requirements for their justification;
• Requirements for preparing the financial section of a grant application;
• A step-by-step walkthrough of completing an application in the IS NCGNTE system;
• Common mistakes in budget preparation and when working with the information system;
