AlmaU has passed the IQA CEEMAN international re-accreditation until 2029

ALMATY — June 13 — It became known that by the decision of the IQA CEEMAN expert commission, Almaty Management University re-approved accreditation for a six-year period from July 13, 2023 to July 13, 2029. “Congratulations to the AlmaU team for their commitment, professional behavior and support during the re-accreditation process.”- James Ellert, Director of Accreditation at CEEMAN.


IQA CEEMAN is an international management development association founded in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth of the quality of management development in Central and Eastern Europe. It is now a global network of management development institutes interested in the quality of education and innovation in this field, as well as in a wide range of subjects related to change, with 200 members from 50 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Accreditation of a higher educational institution is a procedure for recognizing the quality of an educational organization or educational program in accordance with established standards.
The accreditation process includes several stages and consists of the process of compiling a report or university profile, as well as interviews with staff, teachers, supervisors, students and graduates. Interviews are conducted by members of the CEEMAN Accreditation commission who come to AlmaU.

The history of AlmaU & CEEMAN cooperation:

• In January 2010, the IAB– the only university in Kazakhstan, was awarded international accreditation: the European Institutional Accreditation of the International Association for Management Development CEEMAN in the field of education.
• In 2014, the award of the International Association for Management Development of Central and Eastern Europe CEEMAN Champions Award in the category “Institutional Management”.
• On September 23-26, 2015, the 23rd Annual CEEMAN Conference “Localization against Globalization of Leadership and Management Development in Dynamically Developing Societies” was held in Almaty.
• AlmaU was awarded the CEEMAN Champions Awards 2017 in the category “Responsible Education Management”.
• In 2017, CEEMAN re-accreditation was obtained, for a period of 5 years
• On September 20-22, 2023, AlmaU will host the 31st Annual CEEMAN Leadership for a Sustainable World Conference

The president of the Educational Institution “Almaty Management University”, Kozhakhmetov Asylbek Bazarbaevich in 2015 was a member of the Board of CEEMAN — the International Association for the Development of Management in Dynamic Societies. And from 2016 to the present, he has been CEEMAN’s Vice President for Central Asia.
