On September 22, 2026, as part of a working visit to Warsaw, Asylbek Kozhakhmetov, President of AlmaU, and Dayana Balgabekova, Director of the Institute of Education, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland.
The visit included a meeting with Yerzhаn Zharylkhanov, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Poland, and Saule Turgunbekova, Counsellor of the Embassy for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs.

During the meeting, Asylbek Kozhakhmetov shared the outcomes of AlmaU’s visits to Polish universities the previous day, including the agreements reached with Kozminski University and Janusz Korczak University – Academy of Applied Sciences. The discussion focused in particular on the development of the Double Degree programme in Finance, academic mobility, and new areas of cooperation.
Today, AlmaU cooperates with nine universities in Poland. These partnerships are based on Memoranda of Understanding, student exchange agreements, Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreements, and Letters of Intent (LOI).
Key priorities for further development of AlmaU’s cooperation with Poland include expanding collaboration with Kozminski University, developing partnerships with Janusz Korczak University, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB), Wroclaw Business University of Applied Sciences (WAB), and other Polish partner universities.

An important part of the meeting was a conversation with Kazakhstani students studying in Poland. The participants discussed the students’ academic experiences, opportunities for international mobility, and prospects for further developing educational ties between Kazakhstan and Poland.
The meeting at the Embassy was an important part of AlmaU’s working visit to Warsaw and provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan’s diplomatic mission and the Kazakhstani student community in Poland.
