
On April 9, AlmaU Rector Buldybayev Timur Kerimbekovich visited one of the university’s key partners – Tianjin University – as part of an official visit to the People’s Republic of China. The meeting marked an important step in strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.

The meeting was also attended by Malshy Moldir, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation and Accreditation at the School of Digital Technologies and Economics. During the discussions, the parties explored key areas for further collaboration, including expanding academic mobility programs, launching joint educational initiatives, and developing projects in the field of digital technologies.
Special attention was given to modernizing academic programs, introducing innovative teaching approaches, and training highly qualified specialists for the digital economy.

The visit takes place as part of AlmaU’s participation in international educational events in Beijing – China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET) and China Study Abroad Forum (CSAF), which will be held on April 10-11 at the China National Convention Center. AlmaU is represented at the exhibition alongside leading universities from around the world, showcasing its academic programs and international opportunities.

Tianjin University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China, founded in 1895. It is well known for its strong programs in engineering, technology, and applied sciences, and is recognized as one of the country’s leading research universities with active international collaboration.
