
Students of AlmaU won 3rd place at the National Subject Olympiad in the discipline “Kazakh Language.”
The Olympiad was organized by the Department of Theory and Methodology of Kazakh Linguistics at Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University and brought together non-native students from universities across Kazakhstan. 19 teams have represented Astana, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Oral, Kokshetau, Semey, Petropavlovsk, and Almaty.
The event aimed to expand the use of the state language, strengthen its role as a language of interethnic communication, and foster Kazakhstani patriotism among youth. Participants representing 17 ethnic groups demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Kazakh, both in spoken and written formats.

The competition was judged by a panel of leading linguists and experts, chaired by Professor Bizhomart Kapalbek, Executive Director of the Institute for the Development of the State Language.
As a result of the competition, the AlmaU team achieved 3rd place, confirming the strong language proficiency of its students. The Olympiad served as an important platform for developing language competencies and strengthening inter-university collaboration.
