AlmaU will host the Babson Collaborative Global Summit 2027, which will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This significant international event will bring together leading universities, experts, and leaders in entrepreneurship education from around the world.
The Summit is the key annual event of the Babson Collaborative global community, which today brings together more than 60 universities from 28 countries worldwide. Members of the network jointly advance entrepreneurship education, implement innovative teaching approaches, and develop sustainable educational ecosystems.
AlmaU joined the network in 2017 and has since established itself as an active and engaged participant, contributing to the community through involvement in strategic initiatives, academic projects, and leadership-driven collaboration formats. The University is also part of the Circle of Influence – a group of the most active and influential institutions within the network.
The preparation and hosting of the Summit at AlmaU are carried out with the key role of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and the AlmaU Graduate School of Business, which act as drivers of entrepreneurship education and the University’s international initiatives.
Babson Collaborative Global Summit 2027 will be a milestone 10th anniversary event. It will also be held in Central Asia for the first time in its history. Previously, Babson Collaborative events have taken place in various regions of the world, including North and South America and Europe, reflecting the truly global nature of the community and its commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education across diverse regional contexts.
Hosting the Summit in Almaty is an important recognition of AlmaU’s role in the international academic landscape and highlights the growing interest in Central Asia as an emerging hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. For Kazakhstan, this event opens up new opportunities to strengthen international partnerships, promote the national education agenda, and integrate into global academic and business communities.
The Summit program is expected to include plenary sessions, thematic tracks, discussions of best practices, as well as formats aimed at fostering partnerships and joint initiatives. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss key challenges and trends in entrepreneurship education, and identify new growth opportunities for their institutions.
Hosting the Babson Collaborative Global Summit 2027 at AlmaU will mark not only an important milestone in the University’s development but also a significant event for the entire educational and entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region.
