Career Accelerator Program (CAP) сoncludes at AlmaU: а рractical аpproach to рreparing students for the job market

04.05.2026

The AlmaU Career Development Center has successfully completed the 5-week Career Accelerator Program (CAP), aimed at developing practical skills and preparing students for an effective transition into the job market.

The program launched on March 28 and included a multi-stage selection process. As a result, a group of highly motivated students with strong career potential was formed. The training was conducted offline every Saturday and structured into five consecutive modules:

• Career Foundations: Start & Focus
• Market-Ready Profile: CV, LinkedIn & AI
• Landing the Job: Market Strategy & Interviews
• Workplace Excellence: Skills for Real Impact
• From Offer to Impact: Career in Action

One of CAP’s key strengths was the combination of theoretical learning with intensive practical experience. As part of the Application Sprint, participants actively engaged with the job market: applying for vacancies, going through recruitment stages, and receiving feedback from employers. This approach enabled them not only to reinforce their knowledge but also to gain their first real career experience.

A distinctive feature of the program was the involvement of HR directors and experts from leading companies, including Freedom Holding Operations, Nestlé, Bereke Bank, KPMG, DataArt, Bank CenterCredit, EFES Kazakhstan, and JTI. Direct interaction with industry professionals, analysis of real hiring cases, and practical insights helped participants better understand current labor market expectations.

The final module took place on April 25 in the format of a Career Brunch, with participation from partner organizations such as Freedom Holding Operations, Bank CenterCredit JSC, Bereke Bank JSC, Alatau City Bank, JTI, EFES Kazakhstan, KPMG CCA, Eureka LLP, and EducationUSA Kazakhstan. The event brought together students, employers, and university representatives for open professional networking.

During the Career Brunch, participants presented the outcomes of their work, demonstrated the development of their career tools, and shared their first achievements in engaging with the job market. The final event marked a logical conclusion of the program and confirmed its practical value.

The Career Accelerator Program (CAP) has strengthened its role as an effective platform for preparing students for a successful professional start, providing them not only with knowledge but also with real tools for building their careers.
