On September 11, 2024, Vice-Rector for Academic Development Assel Aryn, Dean of the School of Management Ayman Kazybayeva met with a delegation from Haute école de gestion Arc (part of HES-SO). The meeting was also attended by the UMS team, Chief specialist of the Department of Science Ablay Khan Akbergen, as well as a researcher at the School of Management Aknur Zhidebekkyzy.
The HEG Arc delegation included:
– Lukas Baschung, PhD, Associate Professor, Dean of Swiss Eurasian Institute of Management (SEIM), Head of the “Business in Eurasia” program;
– Julia Wirth, Associate Professor, Dean of Mobility and Institutional Relations (SEIM);
– Güldem Karamustafa-Köse, PhD, Assistant Professor.
The meeting aimed to introduce both universities, establish cooperation, and seek potential collaborators for joint research and projects.
A campus tour of AlmaU was also organized. The guests visited the studios, laboratories, and classrooms of the university.
During the meeting, both sides presented their universities and shared their expectations and ideas for future collaboration.
HEG Arc expressed interest in the following areas:
- Bachelor’s student exchange (in French);
- Master’s student exchange (in English);
- Short-term mobility (summer schools, internships);
- Development of research collaboration;
- Postgraduate mobility (study trips to Switzerland).
At the end of the visit, the universities exchanged commemorative gifts symbolizing future cooperation and long-term partnership.
