On September 29, 2026, AlmaU hosted the Huawei ICT Competition Roadshow 2026-2027. The event was organized by Darazha Nagashybayevna Isabayeva, Director of the Online Education Department, and brought together students, faculty members, and university staff.
Huawei organizes the Roadshow annually to introduce students and faculty members to the international Huawei ICT Competition and the opportunities offered by the Huawei ICT Academy program.
AlmaU is an official participant in the Huawei ICT Academy program, which provides students and faculty members with access to modern educational resources, professional certifications, and international competitions. Hosting the Roadshow at our university marked an important step in further strengthening cooperation with Huawei.
The event was organized with the participation of representatives from Huawei and KBTU, which serves as a Huawei ICT Academy Support Center. Their involvement ensured a high level of organization and gave AlmaU students an opportunity to learn directly about Huawei’s key areas of activity and educational initiatives.
The Roadshow was attended by AlmaU students, faculty members, and staff. Participants were introduced to the structure of the international Huawei ICT Competition, its participation requirements and competition stages, as well as the opportunities available to successful participants at the global level, including internships, international recognition, and career development prospects.
The event became a strong example of cooperation between academia and the business community. It highlighted the importance of preparing future IT professionals and developing digital competencies within the framework of the strategic partnership between AlmaU and Huawei.
