Summer & Winter Schools
Summer and winter schools are short-term mobility programs for up to 3 months; they are administered directly by the organizers. Participants usually pay for transportation costs, accommodation, meals, and registration fees themselves. Some schools offer a discount for AlmaU students. The number of places for participation in the programs is limited and is determined by the partner university. This format of study lasts only a couple of weeks, which does not take too much time, but is enough to begin immersing yourself in the language, culture, and traditions of a foreign country.
Seasonal schools are not only about studying, but also about meeting new people, going on excursions to museums and exhibitions, and traveling outside the university. There are both paid and free courses. Please note that some of them are taught in English or another foreign language, which is an additional opportunity to improve your speaking skills. Summer schools most often fall during the three summer months, but some of them start as early as May. Winter schools are usually held from January to March. Upon completion of any of them, the student receives a certificate and additional credits for the courses taken.
