On September 24, AlmaU Library hosted the first AlmaU Zertteu Talks, a new format for open academic dialogue.
Zertteu Talks is designed as a regular space where researchers can share their studies and findings in an informal atmosphere, discuss academic ideas, ask questions, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The format is built around three key elements: IDEA → DIALOGUE → NETWORKING.
The first Zertteu Talks speaker was Anastasia Vladimirovna Lipovka, PhD, Research Professor at the AlmaU School of Business.
The meeting focused on the topic “The Leadership Style of Kazakhstani Managers: Authenticity in Conditions of High Uncertainty.”
During the meeting, the speaker presented the findings of her research and invited participants to take a closer look at the specific features of leadership in the Kazakhstani context. The presentation was followed by an open discussion, where participants asked questions, shared their views, and discussed the findings presented.
What makes Zertteu Talks distinctive is its departure from the traditional format of a classical academic seminar. Each meeting focuses not only on the researcher’s presentation but also on an open dialogue around the research, bringing together representatives of different academic fields and creating opportunities for new professional connections.
The first meeting marked the beginning of the AlmaU Zertteu Talks series. Going forward, the platform will bring together AlmaU researchers as well as invited scholars and experts from Kazakhstan and other countries.
