
AlmaU hosted a meeting with a delegation from Michigan State University. The delegation included Amita Chudgar, Associate Dean of International Studies and Professor of Education Policy, as well as Xinyu Wu, Director of the Visiting International Professional Program.

The meeting was attended by AlmaU Rector Timur Buldybayev, Vice Rector for Academic Development Assel Aryn, Vice Rector for Global Partnership Sholpan Tazabek, Vice Rector for Science and Commercialization Renata Kudaybergenova, Director of the Institute of Education Dayana Balgabekova, and Director of the Institute of Leadership Aigerim Yelibayeva.

During the meeting, AlmaU representatives presented the university, highlighting its international activities, academic programs, and key development priorities. The parties discussed prospects for further academic cooperation, the expansion of international partnerships, and the implementation of joint initiatives in education and research.

Special attention was given to cooperation within the framework of the Bolashak International Scholarship Program. Representatives of Michigan State University noted that more than 80 Kazakhstani Bolashak scholars have studied at the university. During the discussions, the parties also explored promising academic areas for future Bolashak scholars, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation with the Institute of Education.
Following the meeting, both sides expressed interest in strengthening their partnership and expanding joint educational and research projects.
