On 22-23 October, AlmaU will host the 4th SDSN Kazakhstan Annual Conference, “Accelerating the SDGs: Science, Partnerships and Action.”
The conference is organized by the Center for Sustainable Development and ESG at AlmaU and SDSN Kazakhstan.
Over two days, experts and participants will exchange knowledge, present research and practical solutions, build professional partnerships, and explore opportunities for joint action in the field of sustainable development.
Key thematic areas of the conference:
- Resource Scarcity: water security, sustainable natural resource management, climate change and adaptation, clean energy and the energy transition, circular economy, and environmental policy;
- Health, Well-being and Resilient Communities: environmental health factors, air quality, sustainable cities and communities, and climate and social resilience;
- Sustainable Solutions: ESG and responsible governance, sustainable finance, partnerships, the role of business in achieving the SDGs, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions;
- Youth Action and Climate Education: youth leadership, student research and projects, climate education, and youth engagement in achieving the SDGs.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format – in-person and online.
Working languages: Kazakh, English, and Russian. Participation in the conference is free of charge.

Researchers and experts are invited to present their work as part of the conference. The programme includes oral and panel presentations, poster presentations, Youth Research Showcase, as well as an option to publish without presenting.
