On May 12, AlmaU welcomed Balazs Hendrich, Executive Director of the Hungarian Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as Barany Csilla, Deputy Consul General of Hungary.
As part of his visit to Kazakhstan, Mr. Hendrich visited AlmaU – the leading private university in Kazakhstan – as the first university he visited in the country. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the development of academic partnerships.
The meeting was attended by AlmaU President Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, Vice President Ruslan Kozhakhmetov, Rector Timur Buldybayev, Vice Rector for Global Partnership Sholpan Tazabek, Vice Rector for Science and Commercialization Renata Kudaybergenova, Director of the “Uly Dala” Academy Nurzhan Kulumzhanov, as well as Director of the Institute of International Relations Kamran Guseynov and Director of International Cooperation Aliya Akpayeva.
The guests were introduced to the university’s history and achievements, AlmaU’s international activities, and the projects of the “Uly Dala” Academy aimed at preserving and promoting Turkic cultural heritage, strengthening shared values, and enhancing cooperation among Turkic countries.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation with Hungarian universities and the possibility of launching a joint international project – a platform for exchanging business ideas using artificial intelligence technologies.
The Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary was opened in Budapest in 2019 and became the organization’s first representation office in Europe. Its activities are aimed at fostering cooperation between Turkic states and European partners in the fields of education, science, economy, culture, and diplomacy.
